Just Thinking…
“Are we there yet?” Yes, a dreaded line heard by every parent driving on journeys both long and short from bored progeny in the back seats. But now also the apparent catch-cry of a growing group of young adults who are asking themselves the questions, “Am I an adult yet? … and how would I know if I am?” Have you heard of the phenomenon of ‘Adulting Classes’? These are classes teaching pragmatic life skills to young adults on how to survive life ‘out there on their own’ as fully fledged adults. Given that a third of Americans aged between 18 and 34 live with their parents, this instruction is in growing demand. How do I budget? How do I unblock a drain? How do I drive a manual transmission car? These are all on offer in Adulting Classes. The questions “Are we there yet” …and ‘How would I know if I am?” also relate to discipleship. No, we have never really arrived as a disciple of Jesus, but the last discipleship instruction Jesus gave to his mates before he went to his Father was this: ‘Be disciples who go and make disciples’. Or put another way … ‘Replicate yourselves.’ We finish our series ‘Beyond Christian-ish’ this Sunday with a look Jesus’ call for us to be disciple-making disciples. Come and join us!

Each year we give a worship service to the purpose of looking back on God's goodness to us over the last year and celebrating our journey. We are doing this again in two Sunday's time.

Ignite is for young people in years 6-10, led by Olwyn Dickson.
Prayer Service
