Welcome to Remuera Baptist Church

Remuera Baptist Church

We are a group of very ordinary people who want to do the journey of life together, centered around this person called Jesus. We reckon he is more than just a figure from history; he is our Maker and our Rescuer, he is alive and well today, and we have found that when we do life with him we begin to discover what we were always meant to be. Those things might sound strange to you, but if you would like to explore starting a faith journey of your own, we  would love to see you at our church services!

We have resumed our physical worship services, no vaccine passes required  for entry. You can also join in with our Sunday worship services online. These are made available on Sunday on our church Facebook page. You can also see current and past services on the church YouTube channel.

Advent – Hope

The past Sunday marked the first Sunday of advent; as believers all around the world take the time to remember God's promise to send the One who would overcome sin and death forever, one which he kept perfectly.  The first candle that we light is the candle of Hope.  Might we urge you this week, to gather your family, friends and flat mates; and  set aside 10 minutes of your time to talk about God's promise to rescue his His children from sin.  As you put up your tree and hang your decorations,  might you be reminded of his promise to once again return as the once and forever King.  Be encouraged to wait in hope and patient expectation for the fulfilment of this promise.  For just as God kept his promise by sending his Son to be born a babe and live among men, rescuing us from sin darkness, He will keep his promise to us this time as well  (see: Genesis 3:15, Isaiah 9:6).
