Kia ora e hoa mā,
I'm super excited to share about a new event that RBC is organising for easter this year. Our hope is this will be a great way to connect with our community, and possibly a future regular event for us. To explain what we are doing, below I've inserted part of the blurb, which we will be sharing on our Facebook page later today:
"Can you find all the hidden Easter Eggs? Remuera Baptist Church is super excited for the Easter season, and to celebrate, we are going to be running an Easter Egg Hunt from Saturday 9 April to Saturday 16 April for our community. Look out for daily clues on our Facebook page during the week leading up to Easter to help you find the eggs hidden at Waiatarua Reserve. Take a picture of yourself with each egg you find. There are edible prizes up for grabs for everyone who managed to find multiple or all of the hidden eggs. Then come collect your prize and join our Giant Easter Egg hunt on Saturday 16 April in Little Rangitoto Reserve at 2 pm. Get ready to get searching, and use the hashtag #RBCEasterHunt2022 when posting your pics. More details to come..."
Now, if after reading that, you're as excited as I am about our Easter Hunt, we need your help! There are three ways that you can get involved with the RBC Easter Hunt 2022. Firstly, we need Easter Eggs! If you want to pick up some small individually wrapped packets of Easter Eggs to donate, that would be greatly appreciated. Please drop them into the church office by 12 April. Secondly, you can come along to church this coming Sunday and help us paint some wooden eggs that we will lay out in the community. We will be doing this following the service this Sunday, 3rd April. Thirdly, spread the word! Easter is coming quickly, so we need to share this event with people in our community. Some ways to spread the news are to repost this event on Facebook, download the attached poster/flyer to give out, or just start by telling your neighbour!

The Book Club has chosen their first book - "One Soul At A Time" - a biography of Billy Graham, and will be getting together online on April 4 to engage with it. If you would like to be involved, please contact the office for more information.
These are usually held on the first Saturday each month at 8am in the church lounge. Covid regulations have resulted in these breakfasts not being held for some time but we are hoping that the traffic light setting will change after things settle, so we have tentatively planned a breakfast for Saturday 7 May at 8am. Our speaker will be Lindsay Marriner. Lindsay will be speaking about the history of our men’s breakfasts as well as some other thoughts. So men please set this date aside and we hope to see you there (Covid permitting). If there is any change we will let you know. Please feel free to invite other men.
Our outdoor sessions at 10am on Tuesdays at Little Rangitoto Reserve, (55-71 Upland Road, Remuera) are getting bigger and bigger! If you know anyone who has little kiddies, tell them to bring their picnic blankets, some morning tea, and get ready to boogie! If the weather looks soggy, a cancellation notice will be put in the RBC Facebook page and an online session made available
