Just thinking…

One of the interesting effects of the covid-19 pandemic this year is that it has introduced into our vocabulary a new palette of words and phrases that we now use in everyday life. After all, who ever said in 2019 that they were conscious of their 'social distancing'? Another is the word 'bubble'. We all now know that when we talk about bubbles, we are talking about different degrees of relationships. Bubbles can be small or large, and are an invisible border that defines who is in relational contact with you ('in the bubble') and who is not. What a great tool to talk about relationships! The bible, of course, speaks into every bubble, because God is deeply interested in the way we connect with others on every level, and so this Sunday we will be starting a 'Bubble Sermon Series'! We will take different sizes of bubbles and explore God's heart for them, starting this week with the 'Bubble of One' - what does the Bible say about singleness in the Christian life, and what do we need to understand about 'bubbles of one' as a faith family? Next week, we will be looking at 'bubbles of two' as we explore God's heart for Christian marriage. From there, the bubbles get bigger ...! Come along for the journey!

Murray
