Just thinking…

This is a bit more on the light side, but see if you can find all the weird things about the picture. There are things that at first glance seem to look ok, but on closer inspection we find that there are some things seriously wrong! It'll be fun! On a more serious note, Revelation (as indicated by its title) is a book that lifts the lid on our world - a world that looks on the surface like it is 'working' but as we dig deeper, we find there are forces and values at work which need to be brought out into the light of God's inspection. This Sunday we will be looking at how Revelation reveals the underbelly of our society - an underbelly that in many ways is as equally unattractive now as it was when John first wrote. Fortunately, Revelation also reveals things about Jesus and about history which give us great hope and confidence that he is in control and will carry through to completion the good plans that he has for our world and for us. Have a read of Revelation 17-18 and tune in for a message that our world needs to hear today.

In Him,
Murray

This Sunday 20 September…

Underbelly: We continue our journey through Revelation as Jesus exposes the underbelly of the society of John's day, which was profoundly resistant and opposed to God. What similarities do we find in our world today, and what message does Jesus give to his people living in it? (Revelation 17-18)
