Just thinking…

There are a number of opportunities coming up for us to grow together as a faith family. Hospitality Sunday is on 1 March, and you are still able to sign up either as a guest or as a host for this.  This is a great chance to get to know others who maybe you haven't connected with much before.

Also coming up is GROW camp, and for the first time, we have a guest speaker coming to share with us on the themes of forgiveness and caring for each other. Dr Phil Halstead lectures in pastoral care, pastoral counselling, and Inner Healing at Carey Baptist College, Auckland. He also heads up the pastoral care department in St Augustine’s, Anglican Church, Auckland and runs a small pastoral counselling practice. Phil’s PhD focused on forgiveness between adults and their parents and he has published in the areas of forgiveness, pastoral studies, mental health, and integrative theology. He is married to Angelika, a native born German, and they have one adult daughter. Phil likes to read, pray, exercise, drink good coffee, and spend time with his family and friends. Parkinson’s Disease is also part of Phil’s life.
Phil is currently on a sabbatical, so we are really grateful that he has taken time out to invest in us at camp. Registration forms will be available from this Sunday, and please remember to invite friends along to camp as well.
