My sense is that this is a year in which God wants us to grow. Last Sunday in our worship service I suggested that we all ask ourselves a question: 'Would we like this year, maybe more than any other year, to be a year in which we get serious about growing in our relationship with Christ and our capacity to serve his kingdom? Do you want to take up the invitation? Here are some possible avenues to explore:
Do you want to grow in confidence in defending your faith?
Do you want to more fully discover and use the gifts God has given you?
Do you want to work through an issue or a doubt that has always bugged you?
Do you want to gain victory over a sin?
Do you want to memorise scripture?
Do you want to get baptised?
Do you want to grow in the art of hospitality?
Do you want to develop your prayer life?
Do you want to grow more confident in sharing the good news of Jesus to others?
Do you want to grow in generosity?
Do you want to grow in your knowledge and love for the Bible?
Do you want to become a church member?
Do you want to learn the books of the Bible?
Do you want to grow in your accountability to others?
Do you want to appreciate and engage with some of the ancient spiritual disciplines of our faith?
Do you want to develop a skill or ability that you think God might be able to use?
Do you want to intentionally grow in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, or self-control?
Do you want to take a paper at Carey Bapist College?

The options are endless! Let's get excited about the fact that the horizons God has for us are always expanding. So ... how do you want to GROW?
