Just Thinking…
The following was written by a Christian brother from Africa - it never ceases to inspire me!
I am part of the fellowship of the unashamed. I have Holy Spirit power. The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made; I am a disciple of Jesus.
I won’t look back. Let up, slow down, or back away. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, my future is secure. I am finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colourless dreams, tainted vision, mundane talking, cheap giving and dwarf goals.
I no longer need pre-eminence, prosperity, position, promotion or popularity. I don’t have to be first, I don’t have to be right. I don’t have to be recognised. I don’t have to be praised, regarded or rewarded. I live by faith, lean on his presence, walk by patience, live by prayer and labour by power.
My face is set, my gait is fast. My goal is heaven. My road is narrow. My way is rough. My companions few. My guide reliable. My mission clear.
I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, deluded or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of the adversary, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity or meander in the maze of mediocrity.
I won’t give up, shut up or let up, until I’ve stayed up, stored up, and prayed up, paid up and preached up the cause of Christ.
I am a disciple of Jesus. I must go till he comes, give till I drop, preach till all know, and work till he stops me.
And when He comes for his own, he won’t have any problem recognising me!

Trick-or-Treat Drop-In
The Trick-or-Treat Drop-In is the RBC light party held on 31 October each year. Save the date so you can get dressed up and come along to enjoy our sensory Dark Treasure Hunt, bouncy castle, games, face-painting, the odd sizzled sausage or two, and loads more fun!
Kids Programs This Sunday
Spark is our program for preschool kids, led by Margaret Stewart.
Blaze is for kids in years 0-4, led by Kelly Jenkins.
Ignite is for young people in years 6-10, led by Olwyn Dickson.
Understanding Multicultural Church
The face of NZ has rapidly changed. There is an increasing need for greater cultural awareness. This applies in the church community as well as daily life. This workshop will equip you with greater understanding of the cultural complexities we face today. Click here for more information.
ALPHA CONTINUES THIS TUESDAY, 3:30PM IN THE CHURCH

Men’s Breakfast
Saturday 6 October at 8am. Our speaker will be Geoff Tremain from Barnabas Fund. Geoff will be speaking on the growing persecution of Christians around the world, the role of Barnabas in helping such folk and need for us to support our suffering brothers and sisters. Baptist Women NZ
Two meetings on 6th October 2018. Either Breakfast Meeting, 8:30am at Mangere Bridge Baptist Church or High Tea Meeting, 3:30pm at Remuera Baptist Church. Both meetings $10.00.
